Hey all, looking for info on how good/bad the Aldi DJ thing is? A mate would be using it with VirtualDJ, and probably mainly just for setting up the end of one song for the beginning of another.

cheap and cheerful, but if that's all he or she needs it for it would probably be grand tbh.

If the budget allows I'd pick up a used hercules rmx for a hundred quid over that aldi controller. There are usually a few on adverts and done deal and they would be miles better than the plastic yoke aldi are selling. It works very well with VDJ too.

I picked up one today for the laugh. If you're using a Mac it's not a straightforward set up. The supplied software is on one of those small CDs that are unusable on Macs (and PCs that don't have a drawer type CD/DVD player). You'll have to register on the Mixvibes site and download the software. After that it's straightforward enough.

I've never used a USB controller before so can't comment other than it seems basic enough. One thing that I don't like is that USB connection on the controller doesn't slide all the way in - and this seems to be by design.
