Had a woman from the Department come out and the valuer was there also.

The heifer never had a calf but had been down with TB for near 2 years, she was getting old - near 4 and ready for the factory.

The department woman came in sandals to my farm, should have asked her to dip her feet in disinfectant, and she declared the heifer was a cow, I said she was not a cow, the cow from the department refused to change her mind that the heifer was a cow.

I was mentally worn down by having TB for so long and should have appealed, she was valued as a cow and in the factory she made €6 less than her valuation, they viewed her as a heifer...the department as a cow.
If it was again I would have appealed but then hindsight made that an easy conclusion.

It depends how far off you think the animal is worth, and as you say it is a risk as you could get less, but if the valuation is really bad then less to lose and higher chance of gain.

I had a man valuing a few cows one time, he said a price and asked me was I happy with it which I was. As he was writing the price down he held the clipboard away from me so I couldn't see what he wrote. When I got paid the Cnut had put down a lower price
