Christmas Lights and general photos Thread

The lights were switched on last weekend on Regent St in London and I took pictures... I've also been taking pictures of department store windows and airport Christmas trees... They're not really suitable for the Christmas tree pics thread, so maybe we should have a general Christmas photo thread?

(Or is there one already and I'm blind?)

I didn't make it into the turning on of the lights as I had to work late so I took this pic when walking past! I'll take more pics when in town on the weekend! :)

I only just realised that my post was made into a new thread! I'm not going to put up all my photos in one post as that would be crazy, I'll try to stagger them a bit

I had a wander around central London last weekend:

The lights at Neal's Yard have cutlery yokes hanging from them

Carnaby Street has gone for a robins theme instead of lights (I love robins! :))

    Some more of the robins

And Regent Street, it's hard to see here but the decorations are themed around the Twelve Days of Christmas song - the two turtle doves are in the foreground, and you can see the three French hens behind them. I couldn't get the partridge in a pear tree because that's where the stage was, they'd just been switched on after performances by a load of celebrities including two of the Spice Girls and, erm, Leona Lewis
