I know a few lads who seem to have had pretty much the same haircut all their life. Short with gelled up fringe.

I grew mine long once. It was shoulder length but it was too annoying so I cut it.

I dyed it blonde once apart from the middle which I spiked up. Did the reverse too, blonde spiked up mohawk and once with three stripes.

I like messing around with my hair :)

Ive shaved it 3/4 times a week since 2005. It works for me.

Mine usually looks different everytime I get out of bed in the morning. That count?

I started growing my hair long to my shoulders 9 years ago, cut it short in 2007 but hated it so grew it back again.

The GF cuts my hair for me since she's a hairdresser which is handy, though at the start she messed it up and I looked like an onion :(

Shave it to a grade 3-4 every few months. In between times, a spiky to messed/bedhead look as it grows.

I'd fit in well in North Korea,I've had one of 3 haircuts since I was 8.

    Mohawk,shaved,bald

Sorry guys...if its any consolation Ive noticed signs of balding lately. Maybe thats what subconsciously made me start this thread. :(

    Mostly a 3 on the sides/back and a trim. Some times just a 2 all round for a change, I'm such a rebel :o

I cut my own hair for years and recently started going to the barbers to get the same cut.

I see no difference but everyone else says the barber cut is much better.

I've had this cut for 10 or so years.

I would if they'd blood listen.

I find when ever I grow my hair a few inches and then ask for a half an inch off all over, just a trim like, they cut two or three inches off.

I used to go to Toni & Guy where they would listen but these days can't afford to and so just go to barbers but they never listen, to me at least. Bastards.

Also, you know when they show you the back in the mirror at the end, wtf are you supposed to say like:

"Actually mate, you made a bags of that, can you put some of it back."

I know Bedford Stuy are supposed to be good, but they're damn expensive for a scissor cut.

I have crap hair so there's not much room for experimenting with different styles.

It used to be really long but one day in summer three years ago I couldn't take the heat so decided to get it cut. Since then I've had a few different styles before I settled on my current one which is short and spiky. It looks decent enough when I first get it cut but after a couple of weeks it sticks out in weird places. I used to get it cut every two weeks but I couldn't be bothered anymore so I just put up with it looking like crap and get it cut every five or six weeks in winter and every three to four weeks in summer.

As I mentioned in another thread recently I've got weird ridges in my head (very similar to this) so shaving it isn't an option.

My hair really only looks half decent in two styles - short and spiky or long. The only thing(s) I like about my hair is that I've still got it at my age and most of it is still black.

I've hair like a Brillo pad and therefore is unstylable. I just keep it cut tight all the time with a sorry excuse for a fringe and have been doing so for years

I have shaved my head ever since i got my first motorbike in 1999. About 2 weeks later Beckham does the same and everyone thinks i copied him!!

Have an ever receeding hairline these days and a fùck i could not give

I go between two hairstyles quiet regularly. Shaven and homeless.

My hair grows at weird angles and isn't capable of being styled. Spent most of college with a no1 all over. Made one attempt to grow my hair long but ended up looking like a mushroom.

Currently neatly parted at the side, like a boss

Total waste of time trying to "style" it.

In hindsight I should have grown a huge afro in my early twenties, but now I haven't got the patience for that.

as a kid i had many a hair cut's,The bowl,The ponytail with fringe and so on...but now i keep it simple, let my hair grow to the point were it feel's like a mop on my head then raw blade all over and repeat.

Horrible side parting until I was 13, then gelled it back. Grew it longer in the late 80s, rats tail & spiked, then got it shaved off, then a Tintin style cut  then grew it long and it went curly, dyed it black, red. These days get it shaved off every 3 weeks as I'm balding :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,383 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

Not really. I've shaved all my hair off twice in the last twenty years. It was fairly long - down to my lower back - each time i shaved it.

I cut my own hair.Every two weeks I shave it all off. No way am I getting someone else to do something I'm quite capable of doing myself.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,986 ✭✭✭Ihatecuddles

I'm currently waiting to wash out hair dye. I'm going for black, I've dyed it a few other times but nothing crazy.

It's really long now, I'll keep it long and then cut most of it off when I get fed up. I just love having long wavy hair like Kate Middleton!

Must suck being a guy and not being able to aRse around royally with your hair....blonde, brunette, short, long and layered, bob cut, fringe, highlights...

Great hair can make an average woman beautiful

Had long hair for a year or two, shaved it bald for a while and now I just give myself a no 3 blade every few weeks.Saves money, plus lets me avoid having to have crap conversations with barbers.

May I recommend a good blowdry, a good blowdry fixes everything.

I often change my hairstyle. I've highlights on top at the moment. I might go for some designs along the side and back next.
I've had various hairstyles over the years and I've also a penchant for skull and grim reaper-themed hoodies and sweaters. The boring sensible look just doesn't do it for me :)

#2 all over once a week for the last 30 years & yes I do have a full head of hair, I just prefer the no-fuss, no-muss look :D

Number 1 for me, bought a hair shaver and tried doing it myself but failed miserably.

Bit expensive going to the barber every fortnight but suppose it's only the price of 2 pints really.

Dunno bout that, women have to put alot of effort and time into taking care of their hair, especially if it's long, and a trip to the hairdresser would be more expensive as well.
