Some very strange events happening tonight.
First Centra On the Gort Rd had a van smash through the front door.

and then not long after a Car smashed into Applegreen on the clare rd.

All this happening while the Irish coast Guard was out searching the river by Parnell street. I know yesterday was the 13th but far from friday the 13th,

Hopefully everyone is ok in all incidents that have happened tonight. Have to say a very strange night indeed and couldnt believe when i heard a second crash when you see the first one you would picture a robbery, when you see a second one you start to wonder. i know all purely a coincidence but cant help feel like they could have been more.

Good to hear nobody was seriously hurt, they can be two very busy shops depending on the time of day.

I dont know but it would seem a little too unusual to be a coincidence.

Let's hope this isn't come new stupid thrill seaking craze that's about to take off.
    Hopefully just two unrelated coincidences.

When you can drive into the shop who wouldn't. Save you having to walk around all the isles Ha Ha.

I wonder did they think it was a drive-thru?

They must have been drunk so.

I believe the incident on the Gort Rd involved a driver getting a heart attack. The other one was a female parking.

I thought bad parking only happened in motherland Russia.

I've seen that Golf around before, looks like a Japanese import so most likely automatic.

    I blame GTA v.

How in the hell could you drive into a shop.

I just betcha that Golf is automatic. And driver didn't bother with handbrake, as they normally just put it in park. Left it in drive, stepped out, foot came off foot-brake, and voila! :P

Has to be, square number plate, wind deflectors front and back scream Japanese market Golf. Any I see in the auctions are always automatic.

Without knowing, I could hazard a guess that the Golf driver would be female, elderly, driving an automatic and confusing the brake and the gas. When the car moves, they press the "brake" even harder and the rest can be seen in the pics.
Usually the car gets blamed.

The van, most likely a bloke, maybe young, maybe not paying attention where he was reversing and most likely in an overly exuberant manner.:D
He might even have spilt his jumbo sized bottle of energy drink. Possibly didn't hear crash over stereo.

    Amirite?

Heard that the man involved in the Centra incident had a heart attack but I don't really know. God love him, if he didn't have it before, it would certainly be understandable after.

And, in the Applegreen incident, from a report at the time:
And in another separate incident, a man was arrested shortly after midnight on suspicion of drunk driving after the vehicle he was driving hit the window of the Applegreen petrol station near St. Flannan's College.

Huge luck that no serious injuries caused in either.
