Switching dentists should I get my X-rays?

    Hi all,

I'm planning on changing dentists as I'm not too fond of the manner of my current one to be honest. I had X-rays taken there about 18 months ago and I'm just wondering should I ask them to give me these so I can give them to my new dentist? Would this be a common thing to ask them? Or is there any need?

    Thanks :-)

I just thought they might compare old ones to new ones perhaps? Not really sure why to be honest though! Now that I think of it maybe it is unnecessary!
