Invoicing for a freelance hobby?

    Hi guys,

I am (thankfully) in full-time employment and for a number of years have also done some wedding photography on weekends. For these weddings I have been paid cash on the day.

Some months ago, a business contacted me through my website and asked me to do some product photography for them. I did and it went well enough for me to get some more jobs like this through word of mouth.

I have been invoicing for these product photography shoots through my Paypal account and subsequently getting paid in there.

My problem is that 1 of my most recent product photo clients has asked me to include my PPS number on all future invoices.

As explained above, I am not registered as self-employed and so far in 2 years since opening my Paypal account, have only invoiced for a total of €2,400.

Any advice on how I can invoice without disclosing my PPS?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

    Jolita.

Why dont you want to provide your PPS? I dont think you need to register as self employed as long as your net annual income is less than approx 3K .. and you can pay tax on it via a form 12
