    I installed this after my phone was unusable with the samsung update. I backed up my phone to Kies before I installed cyanogen and now my phone won't connect to Kies. I am unable to get my pictures and messages etc back.

    Any help please?

    Your pictures will still be on your PC as well as on the virtual SD card of the phone.

    What's the issue with the installation of CyanogenMod that you are having? It won't register with Kies with CM10 because it's no longer TouchWiz.

    They're should be a local back location but like I said, there is a virtual SD card on your phone that the CM Installer doesn't touch so all your pictures should still be on your phone. Open up your Gallery, what's present?

    To connect with Kiess you would need to reinstall the stock rom.
