Teeth Out After Braces Get Fitted?

    Hi everyone,

    I've been thinking about getting braces for years now and hae decided to go ahead with treatment.

    I've been to a few orthodontists and have finally found one that seems nice although he wants to put on my braces first and then remove the teeth that I need taken out.

    Is this normal practice? I always assumed that you got your teeth out before the braces went on...

    It can be done either way.Is there a time frame for the extractions?

    No time frame. He says he wants to put the braces on first and let me get used to them, then take the teeth out. I have to get 4 out in total. It just sounded slightly odd to me.

    Hi

    i got a tooth out about 2 months after my braces were fitted. Now after having them for nearly two years getting another tooth out.
