Congratulations to Angus Tyner, who has been chosen as this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Recorder Award 2013, for the outstanding contribution he has made to the recording and documenting of Ireland’s biological diversity, particularly, but not exclusively, of moths.

A very worthy winner indeed. His knowledge would blow my mind at times. He could have something identified and explained in an interesting fashion, where others would still be scratching their heads wondering what they were looking at.
