Why can't I receive any channels from Astra 2f.

All my other FTA Channels work fine.

Using a Synaps TSHD-2870 Combo (Saorview & Freesat box) connected to an aldi 80cm dish.

Just set this up the other day but cant seem to get E4 or 5* or any on astra 2f.

Upgraded firmware on box and searched transponder to no avail.

    Any help appreciated

Not a Freesat box. If it was, you wouldn't have this trouble.

What kind of search did you do? Was it an 'auto' or 'blind' search or, a search of the existing transponder list?

Are the relevant transponders in the list or do you know how to add them?

E4 is on Astra 1N, btw.

My bad I guess its must be a FTA box then.

I did an auto search on first install and got loads of channels but I am missing some like E4 Channel 5 5* etc.

I also was able to manually add transponder and search solely on that transponder but didn't have any joy finding the missing channels.

Thought it might be down to my box's firmware so updated that, have good signal strength 87% on main channels.

As Peter suggested, try a network or blind search.

Or double check the parameters you are manually entering (a common oversight is DVB-S/DVB-S2).
