So I have my 1080p sammy 40" for about 7 years now. Still working great. But time to upgrade and will use it as tv2.

I have my own HTPC and PS3 so on smart side I have no requirements. I have no interest in 3d..waste of time as far as i am concerned.

Picture quality and gimmicks I do like.

Looking at Sony 55W805 or SAMSUNG UE55F6500 at the moment. Both around same price. I paid 1500 for the sammy ages ago, so gonna stick same budget.

Appreciate opinions on one or the other. Or does anyone use a dumb but high quality display monitor as a tv? Can recommend?

    Thanks
