lisence renewal

    hi guys

    just a quick one, sent of my renewal on the shotgn nearly 6 weeks ago and no word since, its normally back in a week or two. no changes to my life or trouble adress still the same.
    any one else the same or any ideas??
    have the gun 10 years now with no problems before

    I wouldn't sweat it yet as there is big backlog of renewals at the moment I'm waiting longer than that for a sub of a like for like. No harm in giving the FO a gental reminder especially if old lince is near it end

    I was waiting ages too but mine came this morn, I wouldn't worry too much, personally I don't like to hassle my FO but if it came to a forth night from the expiry date then I'd give him/her a bell

    same thing happened to me when i was getting my licence switched to a different gun. waited 5 weeks until I went back to see what the story was, turned out they had lost the document and I had to do it all over again. I dont think the gard I was dealing with knew what he was doing really. it's probably just be a back log, but it might not be any harm to enquire either.

    i submitted a substitution 2 weeks ago and no word yet. Today i received the renewal notice for the old shotgun. i wonder will the whole thing be in a mess now. I put in the renewal this evening and just put in the new shotgun details?
    no guard on duty but guard on the phone said put it in the post box and put your phone number on it??

    My local FAO is usually very fast in getting stuff processed, but my last dealings where very slow. Talked to a few lads I know in the force and the new re organization seems to have created a back log in all admin work....... wait out then give them a polite call.....

    Applied for first licence a while back and from start to finish it was 18 days , guess I was pretty lucky going on some of the posts on here .
