Just wondering, when an album has a release date in the UK of a Monday, quite often you can find it already on sale in places like HMV on the Friday before.

Is it the same with DVD's and Blu-rays? There's a film out this coming Monday but I'm wondering if I go to HMV on Friday if I will be able to pick it up then.

    Yeah.

99.976543234% of all new CDs and DVDs are released here the Friday before England.

We get new releases on a Friday while the UK gets them the following Monday. It means that quite often we have the box set of a BBC show on shelves two days before the last episode airs on BBC.
