So Im booked on to my first flight on the Dreamliner next week with Qatar Airways. Looking forward to getting inside and seeing what the future years of flying will be like. Ive seen the Business class on Qatar online and it looks pretty good but Im afraid Im in economy class.
Some criticism online of Qatar economy is the 3-3-3 seating layout which will mean its tight width wise. I have read the ideal formation is 2-4-2.

Maybe by now the Dreamliner is old news but anyway, Im looking forward to it.

Try and get a window seat if you can, the Dreamliner windows look cool and futuristic!:)

A journal of your experience would also be very much appreciated, hoping to get on the Dreamliner myself this year, but I'm holding out until all the bugs are sorted out! Safe Flying;)

Not a fan of them myself......I think it was an 'improvement' for the sake of doing so. What was intinsically wrong with the manual blinds.

I was on one of the Boeing prototypes and thought the 'dimming' seems very opaque and slow. May feel different on an actual flight however:

Would love to read poteen's impression of the flight however. I believe QR have a pretty great IFE system on theirs.
