personally, i wouldnt pay that much for a ring before seeing it.

Good value for that ring, however as John Mason said, you want to be careful spending that money on something you can't see first; and what if the business went bust, how would you get your money back?
You don't know where they are, unless you go to the address they're giving, which also is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
Plus pictures are not of the actual ring, they're simulated.

personally I would be a bit warey spending so much money on ebay unless they were happy to let you go view it 1st.
I don't think it is that amazing a deal to take the risk.

I wouldn't buy fine jewellery online. The risks are too high.

I wouldn't take the chance. If your budget is that big, go to a shop and buy, you'll get something very decent off that! Or you could take herself away for a weekend to Antwerp or somewhere. No doubt you'd get good value for money there

Another poster had great success with ebay a while back, I hope he won't mind me linking to the thread!

Hey folks. Thanks for the comments. Might stay clear of this one, as Gatica has stated, it's not the actual ring but a simulated one. Will keep a look out for something different. I'll have a look locally and see what I can come up with. Cheers again.

A ring like that wouldn't be hard to find in jewellery shops in Dublin.

Hi OP, my husband bought my ring online. It was from a website called Blue Nile. You should have a look. It's a great website, even if you want to price rings and compare the cut, clarity, colour etc etc. Obviously you wont see the actual diamond tho. I was sooo delighted with the ring he chose for me. I think it's quite a reputable website. My husbands groomsman ended up getting a ring for his fiancée from that website after he saw mine :). The prices are quite competitive and when I took my ring in to Boodles in Dublin when we were buying our engagement rings the manager (after examining it) said my diamond was excellent quality... Which was good to hear :). Congratulations BTW
