Toyota Landcruiser Prado

I'm having a bit of trouble with an '07 Prado (Auto, 3L Diesel)

It's running very rough when idling in gear (stopped at lights etc.)

My usual service garage are saying that it's the injectors, as there was some water in the ext. range tank . but to replace the injectors of course is an expensive exercise.

It was involved in a nose to tail a few months back when pulled up at a light, some stupid cow ran up the back of it, and shunted it 3 feet forwards into the car in front, car was in drive with foot on brakes at the time. No external damage to mine or the car in front.
My question is, before I go replacing the injectors (I've put injector cleaner & algae removal through the tank twice since the water was removed) is there anything in the transmission that could have been damaged in the shunt that could cause that problem (vibration & dropping revs when idling)?

Yeah, they ran a diagnostic on the injectors last time they were in and no faults came up, they still put suspected injector damage on the service report, but did state that no faults were detected on the diagnostic.
I really do have my suspicions about the torque converter, as it is only when idling at lights in drive.
I've asked them to investigate the torque converter and thrust bearings on this service, and to leave the injectors where they are for now. Its going in for 120k on Friday, hopefully they figure it out without having to fork out over 2 grand

Too much ATF in the transmission can have the same effect, check the level.

There was a recall on the injectors/seals for certain Landcruisers (my 07 LC was affected). Give your nearest toyota garage a shout and see if yours is due a check up....
