    I saw that video, I wonder what is the total cost? You could always handle a cow before going to bed it would give you a fair idea of how much time she has.

    oh I know but just to be completely covered id be interested.. I calve mine out so cameras are out of the question ! so just wondered would this be a viable option down the road

    Yeah, would be ideal for calving outdoors or big numbers.

    I heard about one of these systems. I hope it was the competitor that I heard about because it was €3300 for the transmitter and €120 for each insert after that. Great idea though.

    Great for when at the end of calving with stragglers and you're wrecked

    The ones that would be near calving before you go to bed or as I already said handle them to see what stage they're at. If you had a lot of cows calving on one night you wouldn't be going to bed.

    Jaysus lads do ye think I'm selling them or getting commission on them :D
    Anyway I found out the price of them €1500+VAT for a starter kit which includes 2 transmitters. A transmitter is supposed to do 20 calvings. After that each transmitter costs €180+VAT. I will be staying with the alarm clock for now:)
