    Near blessington in wicklow
I priced Westwood in Naas fairly pricey
I'd like to compare them with someone else

This lad is in longford. Talked to him before but never bought. Sound man. Should have want you want.

I presume your talking about an Ifor Williams? They are expensive but they're for life if you mind it.

hes more near ballymahon than longford and he can be expensive, checked him out a few times. Got my trailer for E1200 from Carey trailers in Rochfortbridge with all the extra sides and all. Well built trailer too. Carred over a ton on it to date

Try Tommy Cassidy in Ballyconnell, Cavan (Cassidy Oils). He carries a good range of trailers, is easy to deal with but you have to push.

I bought a new 8x4 from Dale Kane in Northern Ireland, great solid trailer, very easy to tow. Have it about 4 years and never had a problem. It is also CE stamped which you now need with the new trailer law.

did you look at the refurbished trailers in westwood?

we bought an 8x5 last year that had been through their workshops and I was very happy with it.

not cheap, but had anything it needed done to it, brakes, bearings, led lights, new hitch head, jockey wheel, it was around a grand cheaper than new I think

I liked the look of the tuffmac trailer at the time, but I wanted dropsides.

a 2 tonne 8x4 toughmac with mesh and ramp was €2,300 new. we gave €2,200 all in for the refurbished 2.7 tonne 8x5 dropside

Stanleys is Kilkenny are decent to deal with as well.

Are flatbeds strong enough to carry small plant, e.g. 3 ton digger, provided they are rated thus? I mean to say, does loading and unloading the machine rack the trailer a fair bit over time?

OP I know a travelling salesman who does a good deal on trailers, but you have to haggle hard. PM me if you want more details;)

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Murphy Aerlite (Tuam) are good trailers, we've a similar sized one but it's a sheep trailer with decks. Well made, easy towed.

No he is genuine, mostly he gets them off main dealers who have taken in a trailer as a trade in and can't sell it on. He usually buys them as a 'job lot' in one deal, then sells them on.
