I seriously don't. They have this sly way of making things there way and if they don't get their way they sulk and moan for days. I was watching the united arsenal game the weekend and all I got was nagging to drive her into town during it which is 30 miles away. I said after it and the highlights and she has been bitchy and moany ever since as she said it's too late to go.Happened in other relationships as well. Why do you want to do things out of the blue and especially when I have plans. Is it yere way of testing us man or what

Agreed. Every woman is exactly like this. All men are easy going too. Gay relationships are the best. Lesbian ones are brutal.

It's not a gender issue, in my experience either sex can be equally self centered - it just depends on the individual.

Try talking to men too. If you don't understand them either you are perhaps in a foreign country or else have just had a stroke.

Reminds me of curb your enthusiasm whereLarry is watching American football in tv. His wife comes home and wants to tell him her news. He says the matchbox over in 5 minutes, tell me then.
OBVIOUSLY she doesn't understand and gets the hump.

I'll be the first of everyone to say men don't understand women. We may understand how to get on with them but didn't mean we understand them

Have you tried turning her off and back on again?

Awh now I wouldn't go that far, I suppose you should have let her sit in the car and play with the controls, and that if she didn't beep the horn you would let her do it again next week;)

She wasn't asking you for a lift she was asking you if you preferred football or her and she got her answer !

Sounds like he managed to get her turned off but it doesn't look like he was able to get her back on again.

OP did you not get the manual that came with your woman?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭Paramite Pie

Because they're not interested in football so it's not important in their eyes.. Heck even as a guy I don't understand how much sport means to most some guys.

Some women are horrified/offended and hurt that you would "choose" something "unimportant" over doing a favour or spending time with her. It's a bit insecure really, as she may see this as some sort of personal rejection.

Try asking for a lift to town during Gossip Girl or her favourite show and I'm sure you'll be told to wait till after. I doubt you'd sulk if she said that though.

Now if your watching a match that you have no vested interest in ( e.g your team isn't playing even if the match is in the same table/league whatever) it's far more likely to piss her off. In that case it's best to give her the lift.

Also why do you need to watch the highlights/analysis if you've already seen the match?

And does sitting at home watching TV really count as plans? Maybe you watch too much TV?

Try giving her the lift but tell her your not impressed at her timing and that she should give you more notice in advance so ye can work around this. Relationships are give and take after all, it's best to take the upperhand and be the one annoyed, giving the lift regardless and making her feel bad which may cause her to reassess her habit of springing these requests out of the blue.

Problem solved without being the badguy.;)
