    Hi

I bought a second hand car from a main dealer on the 2nd November and I just received the log book and tax form and it says I have to tax it from 1st October. Surely I don't have to pay for a month I didn't even own the car? Any advise on what to do?

    Thanks

If the ownership was transferred in November then you will only have to pay for November. Just go to the motor tax office with the relevant documents and they'll sort you out.
