    Doesn't that mean the Boards Evil 200 > L'Etape ;)

Please forward your €75 entry fee onto Astra to ensure your spot this coming June!

    4000 metres of descent.
Was on the Alpe this year watching lads getting up by all means.
Few lads coming in at 10.30pm getting cheered and pushed. They were well behind broom but were determined to finish.
Signed up for Etape today. More Sunday mornings in Wicklow

La Marmotte's for next year! Also booked the Tour of Pembroke
for a bit of mountain work in April. How are people getting there?

Going Dublin-Bilbao with Aer Lingus, good choice of flights out on 17, 18, 19th July. Will be wrapping the bike in cotton wool for the flight €80 return for bike. Word of warning if you are flying Aer Lingus they limit the number of bikes they carry per flight to 10, so you will need to check with their Customer Service and book the bike and then the flight. Hiring car at airport, 2.5hr drive Bilbao to Pau (respecting the speed limit!). Going for a week, hired car (Seat Leon TDI) for 7 days with Hertz (via Aer Lingus) for €166 which I thought was great value.

A by the way - if you hire a car a few times a year and go for the extra cover, axa.ie do a very good policy covering Hire Car Excess. Something like €50-60 for a 12 month period. Now I never bother with the excess but for a years cover has got me thinking!

    Hello ,
Any idea where is best to get an entry only for the Etape. It turns out I'm nearby on holidays at this time , so I will not need flights or accomodation.
Names of tour operators offering entry only would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and regards
