Can anyone give me advice on this, I saw it in an advertisement "half time Resource Position paid on youthreach Resource pay scale 18.5 hours per week.
Can anyone explain what it means?

youthreach is not like school . They do employ resource workers ( teachers / tutors ) on a separate and specific pay scale to teach , support learning , work with young early school leavers. Tends to be some one to one , small groups lots of fetac work , very informal and direct. Hard work but great if your into that way of working.Google , make local enquiries , call the centre and ask for more info.

Part time tutors in youthreach used to get paid the hourly rate of about 40 euro per hour. At the moment there seems to be a move in certain areas to change this and employ part time resource persons going forward instead. This means you would be paid pro rata so it would be twenty something euro per hour instead.
Out if your 18 hours, most of that work be teaching and some would be administrative stuff.
