    Hi everyone!

I am a long time smoker and I want to quit after many many attempts! :(

I've heard that e-cig is a good way to start and that it shows really good result. After some research, I found this: http://www.getsilversmoke.com

It says it is specifically designed to help people quit smoking. I am curious about this approach, it looks quite interesting. Has anyone heard about this or any other similar e-cig?

Thanks a lot for you help,

    Best,

    Fred

Arrives spring 2014 ??? There are already several e-cigs that you can sync with your computer, I have not used them but would be very surprised if they did not offer the same setup. Seems like you have to pre-order....and not get anything until next year....I'd be taking a look at the many alternatives out there that at least have been around for some time..

Just to say, be very wary if the claims that e-cig manufacturers make as regards of equivalent cigarettes to e-cigs, they tend to exaggerate to put it mildly.

Better off with a system where you can replenish the fluid yourself and the better the system the better the results. The cigarette lookalikes tend to be very low quality. tank systems are way better. And Good Luck with getting off cigarettes, they are a curse.

    Thanks for the advice.

I'll take a look at e-cigs with tank. I liked the idea of having all the data on my iphone though. Does any other e-cigs offer this?

There are e-cig apps for iPhone and Android but I am not really that well up on them tbh....I'm sure a quick google or stick a thread in the vaping and e-smoking section and there is sure to be someone that knows more about apps for e-cigs than I do.
The only app I use on IOS is one to calculate coil resistance......yes if you are completely nuts you can build your own coils for e-cigs.....I am :D

I don't know apps for the mobile, but this one can store and show your statistics on a computer.

I am looking at a Mid One right now, won it at Vapefest.....it has software bundles that you can buy to unlock features :D Honestly would never have bought something like this but it seems that it is a good make, Janty, only problem is it only works on a windows computer.....and I use Mac, Linux, Ios, Android.....but it still works as an ecig, just without all the graphs etc etc.....:)

Guys this is just an advertising ploy that some clever clogs has dreamt up. It may well be interesting info to have on your smartphone but look at the product......$89 for a type of e-cig most of us gave up on a couple of years ago. The info is just a chipset put into some old stock[ or so it looks to me]

Much better to go to one of the approved suppliers on boards and buy a basic tank / clearomiser kit for around E50. You got reliability, a great hit of nicotine, plenty of smoke, standard fittings { so you can screw in other c=tanks etc].

2014 is the year we see the big boys of the tobacco market move in, the whole vaping thing goes from a customer led revolution to a product led myriad of confusing and mostly unnecessary gadgets and tricks to reel the guilty smoker in.

I smoked about 20 a day for 28 years, the longest i ever went without a fag would have been about 4 hours,
In all that time i never had an inkling to give up.

I was on youtube and saw somebody talking about e-cigs, About 2 years ago the doc told me i had the beginnings on emphazema so i said i would give these a go(because i seriously did not ever see myself giving up the fags i enjoyed so much).

Half 9 tenth january this year i headed into town and bought myself two ego batteries and two atomisers and 60ml of juice and i havent looked back since.

E-cigs are cheaper, better for your health and are a far better smoking experience than regular fags.
Will i ever go back to fags? will i go back to an inferior experience? no chance

E-cigs seem to be the best method to quit only problem is what is really in them as opposed to real cigs. Not knocking anyone using them as would like to know might use them myself any ideas

An in-depth analysis of the large swathe of ecig studies from the past few years up to last summer.
Not one study yet printed (including since last year) has found any levels of toxins considered to be a danger to health according to EU PELs/workplace safety levels.
Flavourings are the unknown quantity and the bad ones are being weeded out but even the ingredients known to be dangerous with prolonged use (which the industry as a whole is trying to eradicate the use of) are far safer than cigarettes, estimated to be hundreds of times safer as opposed to thousands of times safer.

Yes I also left smoking by trying e-cigarette and also by adopting a healthy life style. I don't remember that what brand I have used but it really helps me a lot to quit smoking.
