A car club member is sending parts to me from Longford to Dublin. He does not have a parcel motel account and the weight including packaging is 1.1kg and will fit in a medium PM locker. I used my account to buy the delivery cost, but can he use his local PM station to send the item? I have sent him the email of the docket he has to print, but the instructions say to bring to your registered PM station. I will ring PM tomorrow to ask if nobody here knows. Doesn't make sense if you are restricted to using only the registered station.

    Answer:

If you want to have a parcel sent from one parcel motel to another and you are both technically the sender and the receiver, you need to change your location to the start location, complete the transaction and then change back to your default collection station.

Actually, what i did was set up a second account and set the default station as the one the sender would be using and i entered my original pmid as the delivery address. Seemed simpler, but the pm rep said what i said in my other post.

Be careful. I was charged for receiving a package from a motel to a motel. I rang them up and they credited my account. But no apology, or refund.

I had issues too. Was double charged. Got a refund though.

They need to have a specific process to allow sending something to yourself.
