Ram problem after desktop fall.

Basically someone managed to knock my desktop tower off the desk. Its a thermaltake armour case so it took the fall as well as could be expected.

However after the fall I was getting 4 long beeps on startup, no bios screen etc. I took out the ram and tried each stick, one at a time and the computer worked perfectly.

Tried two sticks in slot A and C like your meant to and perfect.
Tried two sticks in slot B and D like your meant to and perfect.

Tried all sticks in that combination and they work fine.

However as soon as 4 sticks are put in I am back to four beeps on startup followed a few seconds later by 2 long beeps.

Its MSI P45 board, any ideas ?

    Ouch!!

    Try clearing the cmos/bios.
Check the cpu socket also as if you have a heavy cpu heatsink it may have caused damage to the socket.

Have done all this, have actually stripped out the board and reassembled and problem persists. I was thinking about doing a mobo, cpu and ram upgrade anyway so this may push me into it. Might start another thread looking for advice on that.
