Remortgaging UK property from Ireland

    We bought a property in London when we lived and worked there, with a mortgage from a UK lender. Now we live and work back in Ireland. We're looking to remortgage the London property. Does anyone know if this is best done via an Irish broker or a UK broker?

    Will a UK lender provide a new mortgage given that we live/work in Ireland?

    Conversely, will an Irish lender provide a new mortgage for a property in the UK?

    Can anyone recommend brokers or advisory bodies familiar with such a situation?
