Hi all looking to replace my old DELL e520 that has pretty much run out of steam

Was considering something like the configuration below I have copy of Win7 Ultimate to stick onto it. Its been a while since I specced out a machine so would love some feedback. No soundcard needed as its only driving a set of creaive t10s.

Was considering 16gb of RAM but is it overkill for a rig that will mainly be used for CAD photoshop and general surfing

AMD FX-8320 Prozessor, Boxed, Sockel AM3+
    ASUS M5A97 R2.0, AM3+, ATX
    8GB-Kit Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CL9
    Cooler Master Force 500 Midi-Tower, schwarz, 460Watt Elite-Netzteil
LogiLink USB 2.0 all-in-one Card Reader, für 3,5" Einbauchschacht
    XFX DD RADEON 7870 1000M 2GB D5 2x mDP HDMI 2x DVI
    Seagate Barracuda 7200 2000GB, SATA 6Gb/s
Kingston SSD V300 120GB SATA III
    €697,96

    Any and all help appreciated

That seems like a decent machine, but is there any chance you could stretch you budget a bit? That graphics card requires a 500w power supply, so I would recommend getting the case and PSU seperately as built in power supplies are usually rubbish.

The case is personal preference but I would recommend this power supply as my friend runs his own 7870 on this - http://www.hardwareversand.de/400+-+500+Watts/69044/Corsair+Builder+Serie+CX500+V3+Non-Modular+80%2B+Bronze%2C+500+Watt.article

    PSU

    Case

Can't go wrong there. Other than that, seems fine.

If you are looking for something decent thats broadly similar in price to the 450W Amazon you wouldn't be going too far wrong with one of the Corsair CX series or the beQuiet! System power 7 models in the 450-500W range.
