Rent Allowance in Ballymun

    i am in receipt of rent allowance already..im on in a few years now...and i had to move jus recently and the only place i could find on such short notice was ballymun...now im reading online ballymun dont do rent allowance and ppl are saying tat ppl already n rent allowance can get rent allowance in balymun...im quite confused and scared now as ill b left homeless if i cant get rent allowance here as iv already moved in..is there anyone who can help please

    I would ask the landlord, they should know if the previous tenant was on RA.

    On rent allowance a few years? Woah. Sorry to hear about your circumstances, must be very difficult to be in that situation.

    In terms of continuing your rent allowance, you should be able to do this. Have you spoken to the community welfare officer, or the 'department of social protection official' as they term themselves now.

    You can also speak with threshold and simon on some general advice if it becomes difficult and they can assist you or guide you in the legwork.

    As far as I know Rent Allowance in Ballymun was stopped due to the regeneration. My sister is from Ballymun but had to move to Finglas for this reason
