Recommend a garage for Opel Insignia in Dublin

    Hi

Car won't start this morning. Breakdown assist on their way.

I'm hoping it's just a dead battery. When I put the key in I get a warning for low battery on the dash but when I try turn the key nothing happens (doesn't even give me a laboured attempt to start) & I then get another pile of warnings so I'm not sure if I can trust the low battery warning!

Surely something electric in any case? Just wondering if it is more serious can anyone recommend a garage (not a huge fan of main dealer prices!). Live in Dublin 9 & work near Dundrum.

    Thanks in advance!

Hopefully just a flat battery - Insignia's are terrible once the power gets a bit low. Had to jump quite a few here when they've only been lying up for a few days (other stuff goes straight off, even after months). Flat battery will give all sorts of weird and wonderful lights on the dash.

Take it over to SDP Motors in Arbour Hill - http://www.sdpmotors.com/ Doesn't look too far from Dublin 9. We use them a lot in work, so they are more than familiar with Insignia's.

    Cheers ROR

It's been lying idle only since Friday. Hopefully it is just the battery if not I'll give your crowd a shout!

If it is just the battery, once it's running, you'll need to put each window down individually - no idea why, but that's what it tells you to do.

Straight off for a new battery. If it's dying over the weekend, then the battery is shagged.

That's a very good point actually!
