laptop won't work with the WiFi

    As above my girlfriends laptop won't work on there WiFi but it will work off a mobile wit WiFi,if she updates to Windows7 will it work on hers or what's the best way to get it working,her WiFi is with Vodafone, cheers Mikey

    If it will work connecting to a different wireless router then the wireless card in the laptop must be working.

    Have you tried deleting the wireless profile on the laptop and then reconnecting to the Vodafone router. Are you sure the wireless is turned on on the router, that she is using the correct security type and password and is trying to connect to her router not one of her neighbours.

    Changing the OS would have no effect.

    Have this sorted,just updated to windows 8 and its working away like new.
