Does anyone know who would be best to contact regarding an injured swan in the Leinster area, looks like it might have been attacked by dog or kids.

The injured bird is in Dundalk, Louth. I'll contact these guys anyway and maybe they can contact someone local. Injury doesn't look too severe but it would definitely need treatment or maybe if they could capture it and the female and move them to somewhere safer

Louth SPCA contact details here .

It doesn't seem too bad. I have seen worse that didn't actually need treatment.

It could be a case of flying or running into wire. Is this along the castletown estuary?

    Hi Clayton Salmon Yankee,

The bird is in Ice House Hill Park in Dundalk, If you're familiar with the area, it has a small artifical pond definitely not suited for Swans. I've contacted Louth SPCA also, Hopefully they'll get someone on to it. Thanks for your help.

I know the area well. Swans will often winter in fields and apart from drinking don't really need a deep pond.

Anyway I hope you get sorted.
