Something that would accept wide tyres, and able to go offroad a bit. Budget 250-300.

    Thanks

    Hi Random Stuff,

I have an old 55cm 1980's 531 steel tourer which with cyclocross tyres might suit your budget - and yet be adaptable for your holidays abroad!

Got a picture? What's the condition of it? Price? Thanks

    Hi again,

Although it's a touring frame it can take the cross tyres you need but also will give a comfortable touring ride. For the real cross feel you might get bar end levers however if you're looking for something versatile and reasonably priced this might suit. Frame size would suit 30"leg/or someone 5'8" or below.

    Make: Saracen, 80's / 90's British.
Frame: 55cm, probably Reynolds 531st. Canti bosses; suntour drop-outs, bottle and lever bosses, mudguard and carrier eyelets.
    Colour: Blue - no decals
Gears & Chainset: Shimano Exage, Deore, Biopace 28-38-48 teeth, suntour friction levers.
Brakes: Shimano Cantilevers and aero Levers
    Pedals: SR Quills
Seatpost/ Saddle/ Bars: SR Alloy / Reydel GTI / Touring Bars
Wheels: Bolt on Shimano Alloy Hubs on Touring Rims - however I have quick release axles and levers if required.

    Price: €200
Available: Cork or Dublin (or meet by arrangement).
I'll try and get pictures up on http://www.flickr.com/photos/66347375@N02/

Let me know what you think,

    Brendan

    Hi Random,

Just ran out to the shed and took a quick pic and uploaded on my flickr account above. Mudguards not included in sale. I'm meant to be in Dublin on Thursday. Let me know what you think.

Additional option is a turbo saddle (+€20).

Hi Random, if you get a chance you may let me know if you're interested as I may be able to bring it to Dublin in the morning. Cheers Brendan
