wage rates for a construction labourer

    Hi anyone know what the going rate for a labourer/unqualified carpenter is for a 40 hour week after tax in ireland 2013?

    From below minimum up to about double that if you are good at what you do and good with people.

    About 500 a week after tax would be my estimation.

    It was a hell of a lot more than that! In any case that's not relevant now. As above, it's about €500 in your hand.

    Saw a Labourer job advertised today with a GROSS wage of 400e per week. It was in Wicklow but I can't find the link now!!

    I have worked in construction for 20 years now and i have to say that is very poor money. 80 a day before tax, along with travel and lunch expenses. Don't think you would get anyone any good or with good experience for that money. Fair play if the employer gets someone to work hard for that wage, but in my opinion you pay peanuts you get monkeys.:)

    I was working in the city. Was doing 57-60 hours a week, taking home €416-440 a week, that was six days, starting somedays at 6am, finishing at 6.30pm and a half day on saturday! Something wrong there..
