After making the move to sanitary products in Aldi & finding them great for the price, I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for beauty products in either Aldi or Lidl. Trying to save money where I can so would be great to get some recommendations rather than buying and testing to find no good

Would recommend lidl nail polish remover excellent and I love the bottle, tampons are great for a euro!!I use soft toothbrushes and find them hard to find sometimes but Lidls always have them and they are good, face cream in black tube is 2.99 and very good for day cream.
In Aldi, the body moisturiser is great as are the shampoos and conditioners, I also really liked a face serum I got from there

    From Aldi I use:
    Toothbrushes
    Shower gels
    Tampons
    Body Lotions
    Bubble bath
    Baby wipes
    Cotton wool pads
All very good products.. as good as, if not better than the likes of Dunnes or Tesco own brands.

Aldi Lacura Highlighter pen (as good as Touch Eclat imho)

I used to swear by the Aldi Lacura night cream, I used it for about a year but then I broke out in dermatitis around my mouth.. stopped using it and went on antibiotics.. put it down to my diet and tried the cream again and the same thing happened... it's a pity because it made my skin very soft and smooth, before the breakout.

I don't shop in Lidl but I went and got myself a couple of bottles of Suddenly Madame Glamour as per the rave reviews in here and it is quite a lovely perfume for the price.. smells just like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.

Love Suddenly Glamour Madame for daytime use. It's great value for what I think was around 4 euro.

I use Aldi's hand washes as well and their cotton pads. Their hand washes remind me alot of Molton Brown.

Aldi's Lacura concealer pen is amazing, I actually find it better than Touche Éclat and it's around €5!

Aldi shampoo comes out well here compared to other pricey brands

    From Aldi

    Molton Brown style hand-washes
    toothbrushes & paste, mouthwash
    cotton wool & cotton buds
Carino Pro vitamin shampoo & conditioner
Moroccan oil (seems to be regular stock now, nor just a special buy)
Lacura highlighter pen (dead ringer for the YSL one)
    Lacura Multi Intensive Serum

Going to try the handcream and deodorant next time I need to buy some. My bf uses their shaving products and deodorant and has no complaints.

I use the deodorant and its just like any other. Smells great too! I also use the mens shaving foam for my legs and find its just like the dearer brands, but way cheaper!

I find the Aldi roll on deodorants good.. the sprays aren't great imho..

I normally use the roll on and then a spritz of Sure or S&G over it.. works great for the whole day.

I like Aldi's body lotion, Lacura brand. Big bottle of it for €1.79, 2 types has vitamin E in it and non-greasy.

I like Aldi's concealer and handwashes. I also use the cotton pads.

I hated Aldi's roll on deodorant -it was really sticky for a few minutes after applying. And Aldi toothpaste, to me, is like brushing my teeth with baking soda. So I personally wouldn't recommend those products.

I love the lidl cien 24hr moisturising cream, with the purple lid. I have quite dry skin and it's perfect.

My friend is a beautician, has tried every beauty product under the sun and swears by this one. Recommends to all her clients.

Aldi hand washes are lovely as are their showergels

I use mouthwash from Aldi. BDA approved and brilliant. Find the toothpaste rubbish though. Cotton pads, handwash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all great.

Lidls hand intensive moisturizer is better than the neutrogena concentrated one. The lidl moisturiser soak into the skin and leave it soft and not greasy like other moisturizers.

I cant use the serums and creams which is a pity as they got rave reviews! I have sensitive skin and it reacted to the products badly.

I do find the shower gels and the handwashes fab and must try the concealer pen

I've checked a few Aldi's lately for the Lacura highlighter/concealer pen thing but no luck. Does anyone know if it's been discontinued for any reason or is it just an occasionally there thing?

Aldi Lacura body oil, costs a fiver & it's just as good as Bio Oil, my skin feels amazingly soft & has a lovely sheen after using it.

Was at Aldi this morning and they had some perfumes on sale. Had a sniff of a couple, one in a pink bottle was quite nice. I went off horseriding for the rest of the day and on the way home, caught a whiff (!) of my hand and was thinking, god the horse smells fantastic and realised it was the perfume from hours earlier. :o:rolleyes: I might get it for everyday wear as it's really nice and seems to last!

If it's in stock in your local store I recommend the new perfume from Lidl called Diamonds, I have a review of it >here< if you want to know more, but basically it smells almost the exact same as Hugo Boss Orange and it's only €3.99 :)

Also the Serum from Aldi has gotten great reviews
