Hi, story is, a qualified secondary school teacher (pre 2011) on crap contracts for a number of years, moving around a lot in different secondary schools and know nothing about having a decent job and everything that goes with it.

Considering moving from SECONDARY to a special needs PRIMARY school , teaching a specialised subject, 14 hours per week, paid for all holidays. Fixed term contract Sept 1st to Aug 31st, which should be renewed each year, sounds great!.. post should become available due to retirement this year.

1.Are primary school teacher/pupil contact hours the same as secondary teacher i.e. 22 hours per week?
so pay would be 14/22 of full week

2.To move up a step on the pay scale :
is this based on years experience, i.e. every Sept 1st move up a point
    or
do a certain amount of hours have to be clocked up to move up a point

    3. If another position came up in a school, e.g. up to 8 hours. Is it possible to have a CID in two schools? so two CID's: one for the 14 hours and one for the 8 hours

    Thanks in advance
