Heating System query?

    Some advice please.

We are taking on a renovation of a 3 floor period house. The builder suggested gas as the main heating system with three heating zones.

Excuse my lack knowledge in this area, but I presume we would need a water tank and would it be the gas that heats it?

We are thinking of installing a wood burning stove, is it possible to link this to overall system i.e. water and radiators?

    Thanks

Other than the builder, who is advising you? A builder will suggest the easiest and/or what he is used to, which may not be the best for you. There are any number of ways to achieve what you are looking for depending on a number of factors. Employ an independent heating professional who will go over all the options, pro's/con's etc and who will then direct the builder/plumber on what to install.
