We have a hortsmann economy quartz7 timer in our apartment and when we set the timer to the current time we have no hit water the next morning. We had no issues before the water shortages in Dublin last week and power cut in our area. Please help?

First check that the time on the timer is set to the correct time.

Did you try the boost function to see if that heats up the water in the top of the tank? If that works your problem could possibly be that either the thermostat needs to be reset - push the reset button (shown in image 4) or the heating element in the lower part of the tank has blown. This would more than likely be down to the powercut (power could have cut out on a few occasions when attempting to be restored & blown the element) & nothing to do with the water shortage.

Hi boost looks like it's working as in the fact the light comes on but it doesn't heat the water at all. What do I need to go if it is the heating element that's gone ?
