    Hi Guys,

I'm in a job for 2 months now and I'd like to change my working hours so I can start earlier.

What's the best way to approach this with my manager ?

From what I've seem some start earlier and some start later than the normal working hours so I think its possible to do so.

Just ask your manager. Perhaps suggest some sort of a win win that will benefit you both e.g can I start earlier and I'll open the office/shop so you don't have to.

Thanks. This is not a shop it's a financial corporation. As I'm new I'm not really sure if I have a sort of bargaining power.

I'd phrase it as asking if it's possible/ what is the story with starting earlier, rather than directly asking if you can start earlier if that makes sense.

And be prepared to compromise. You might not get to start earlier every day, but even if it was 3 or 4 days a week it would be a step in the right direction, right?

I wouldn't mind that but what came to my mind is I just started working with my company now. I'm not directly employed by them them(agency).

Is there a law that states the minimum working weeks (26 weeks in Uk) for flexible working arrangements.

None that I have ever heard of tbh.

Are your colleagues who work flexible hours agency staff?

Not everyone are. It's a mixture of both. AFAIK agency staff don't have a set time to start work but those permanent have.

Ask the manager is it possible to start earlier and finish earlier like some of the other staff. The manager will either say:
    1. "Sure, no problem"
    2. "Sure, with conditions" or
    3. "No, thats not feasible".

You are not going to get in trouble for asking the question regardless of how long you are there
