Who wants to cure their slice ?

I bought this a couple of years ago. I no longer need it, as I'm fixed and have got great use of it.
I said I'd pass it along to give some poor slice sufferer the joy of fixing it !
My grip was also hugely at fault, but this did wonders.

Do some research on the product if you like, here is one of the links.
    http://www.intheholegolf.com/POWCHUTE/Powerchute-Golf-Swing-Trainer.html

It may seem a gimmick, but you would not believe how good this actually is. It not gets you on the right in to out path, but it makes you deliver power at impact and the difference is quite unreal. I'd say you need to stick with it for about 10 days.

Only criteria is to give regular updates on this thread of how you're getting along with it.

It won't cost you a penny, I'll post it, or deliver it for you.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll pick a name next Friday, 15th.

Not really a slice sufferer but would like to be better at transitioning from the club. Can you stick me in the hat? Ill pass this on in the same way you have if I get pulled out.

Looks like a pretty good training aid for the winter. Put me in the magical hat please.

I'd like to try it, haven't played golf in a few months I've gotten so frustrated with it. I will pass it on the same way as you are when I'm done with it.

I wouldn't mind giving that a go too. not getting out onto the course enough but would have time to practice with this at home and it might be the answer to all my problems - will also pass on if i mange to get it. Thx

Serious slice developed as well as not staying down in the shot long enough

Yup stick my name in the hat. Accursed slice is killing my enjoyment of the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,323 ✭✭✭Brego888

I turn 30 tomorrow, would be a lovely birthday present!
My chronic slice has been inhibiting my full enjoyment of the game since I was 12 years old.
Nice idea to continue to pass it on to another sufferer and I'd do the same.

    happy birthday !

I've PMd Kevin to see what the best way is to pick someone at random as I know he does this quite alot.
I'd imagine there is a nifty excel random trick or something.

For the unlucky lads that miss out, having a look at this may be some consolation.

I'm pretty sure I could out-slice anyone here at the start of the year. This, along with some trackman videos (Alxmorgan posted one previously) that helped me understand what was going wrong, really did wonders for my game.
    You'll note I haven't entered the draw :D

There's a bit of waffle in this at the start but have a listen to it all, the good stuff comes close to 3 mins in.
Understanding why I was slicing and then adopting this has done wonders.

You'll get a few funny looks by addressing the ball this way, but if you think about it, it is ensuring that you hit up on the ball. It's virtually impossible to have an aggressive out to in swing if you hitting up on the ball.
One or two lads I know have switched and they aren't complaining.

I still play this with a fade, but it's controllable.
Having such a positive angle of attack helps with distance too.

Fair play to to you for doing this realgolfgeek, would love to give it a try, as with the other lads, will definitely pass it on to someone else once I am off scratch....:P

Thanks for the video aswell PARlance, haven't had a chance to watch it properly because I am in work, but will definitely check it out later.

I should probably just go get a lesson to get rid of my slice, but love to try to figure out my own issues on the course!

I'm sure others will be throwing there eyes up to heaven about me posting videos :D, but that one and this video below where the main reasons for me getting to cure the slice.
I had been to lessons and I found that I was being told how to draw the ball without knowing what was making me slice the ball.

I don't draw the ball but this video shows how to go from slice to draw in small simple steps... I started to do a few exercises from it, and the biggest benefit was to show me how different a slice and draw feel.
From then on, I knew what I shouldn't be feeling with a slice, and I said f it, forget the draw, just get the fade under control.

Worked for me, mightn't work for all but feel I have to post it... If it saves one slicer out there, I can cancel my trocaire DD...
