Persil Non Bio Powder 5.2Kg 65 wash £10.45 Amazon ex IRE VAT

To get the £10.45 price you must 'subscribe & save'. Choose something like every 6 months and then once delivered cancel the subscription. Using this option you don't have to spend over £25 to get free delivery. This works with all subscribe and save items.

You might get cheaper in cities and large towns with offers but for anywhere else I think this is great value.

Supervalu has Persil Small & Mighty Biological 60 Wash 2.1l for €10 or £8.40
They have 193 stores in Ireland.

Even at that price it is expensive in my opinion. You'd want to get it below 10c/wash to enter bargain territory

    Oh in that case
    Tesco: Fairy Non Biological Laundry Liquid 1.35L 27 wash €5.00 = 18.5c/wash
    v.
Amazon: Fairy Non Bio 5.2Kg 65 wash £10.45/€12.75 = 19.6c/wash (excl irish vat)

OP- its a good price for the powder- Persil or Fairy Non-Bio. Its the only stuff we use here. Even on offer Supervalu/Centra/Superquinn manage about 18 Euro and Tesco (occasionally) 16 Euro. Its a good offer- nothing that I'd be getting overly excited about- and definitely not stock piling- but its a reasonable price.

We don't use the liquid- our machine has a cold pre-wash cycle before it actually gets into the business of washing the clothes- which, from trial and error- removes the liquid from the wash- so you end up with a pure water wash (its one of those Indesit's that featured on BBC Rogue Trader.........) Quite a few machines are similar. Powder all the way for us.

I agree it is the cheapest price for fairy I have found. I ordered a box it is coming in at just under €13 with subscribe and save. Superquinn had it a few weeks ago 65 washes for €8 but that was an unreal bargain never seen it for that price before. Tesco are charging €6 for 22 washes of powder so 27c a wash.

Try the aldi washing powder. It's just as good as any branded one and its like 5 cent a wash. The best is the one with the good housekeeping recommended sticker.

P&G take us for a ride in Europe. I was in china and brought a 20 wash packet of washing powder for €1 in the supermarket. I can't imagine with Europe being one of the largest producer of chemicals in the world, that the same powder costs 4 times the price of china, to make in Europe.

The aldi bio washing powder is by far the best bio around it is called almat. Honestly better than Aerial, persil Daz. Unbelievable at getting stains out (even old stains). I am
Now only using it on our clothes. Haven't tried the non bio yet :) want to use fairy ( or persil non bio small and mighty) for the first while on new babies clothes when he makes an appearance in January :)

Very good price at amazon considering that tesco is selling the 1.7 kilo for almost the same price as 5 kilo in Amazon
