Northern Hemisphere 15

On the Ireland vs Samoa thread there are debates on where players rank in the world and it got me wondering what people think is the Northern Hemisphere best 15.

Id go for something like:

14. Bowe
13. Tuilagi
12. Fofana
11. North
10. Sexton
9. Murray
8. Parisse
7. SOB
6. Gorgodze
5. AWJ
4. Parling
3. Jones
2. Hibbard
1. Healy

Heaslip very unlucky not to be in there as I think he is hugely underrated but there was no way that he could be left out.
I left POC out because he is constantly injured and feel that Parling is an adequate substitute.

Delon Armitage is actually a quite well rounded player. I would put him just behind Halfpenny to be honest

I know Zirakashvili's a bit of a curveball, but there really are very few top THs in the NH and he is better around the park than Adam Jones.

ha, yeah! Hooker, right wing and sub outhalf were the hardest to pick imo...the fact that Best and Hartley made the Lions shows there isn't a massive amount of quality hookers around at the moment (no disrespect to Best, but he's well known for his wobbles at set-piece), Ford and Hibbard are probably the two most reliable set-piece hookers, so went for them. If Strauss wasn't so unlucky with injury I think he could be the best hooker in NH, but completely unproven at international level and has been injured / unavailable for almost all international representation.

I foroget about Mas, tighthead is a really tough call, on todays mood I may have Jones on the bench and him starting.

Funnily enough, I didn't read down through the thread, just liked the idea of coming up with a team, but amazing how similar most teams are, especially the backlines.

I actually thought Biggar and Ashton would have raised more eyebrows than Ford, but those are two players I really rate even though they mightn't be the first players to come to mind for most people.
