Hey I was looking through the forum and can't find an answer to my question. Does anyone know if a woman gives birth during the summer, does the maternity leave have to start two weeks prior to the birth?

Hoping that it can start from the day of the birth to extend the time off with the baby.

Yes the maternity leave does start 2 weeks before the due date(unless you can get the doctor to extend the due date)...my friend had a baby in July and is due back to school in January.
