Just a quick query, I wonder is it possible to apply for a TCC before the actual start date of my new job or should I wait until I have actually started? I have all the details necessary to send away Form 12A so Im just curious, thanks

yes you can apply for a tax credit certificate before you start your new job. if you have worked in ireland previously and havent worked this year u dont need to do a form 12A ur payroll administrator for your new company will register you as an employee of the company and the revenue will send her your tax credit details via email. if you have worked this year and have p45 then you just need to give this to your new company and no form12A needed. you only need to complete form12A if you have worked this year and have no p45

Are you sure? I was told to bring a p45 but I haven't worked this year; so I thought this would ensure my tax credits were in order; do you suggest I.just leave it?or send it anyway?
