Can someone recommend someone to fit and supply or supply only
    blinds

The windows are wooden, and open inwards ie into the room , so looking for blinds that are fixed to window frame, , so as the window opens the blind moves with the window

Similar perhaps to a velux blind ?

Two windows will need some kind of slide blind, rather than roller,
the slide blind needs to open from top down, ( so that with the blind partially open, one can see thru the top of the window frame and not the normal bottom)

the rest roller or similar will suffice

    Thanks

    Ken

Ordered off myblinds.ie 2 weeks ago and to be very honest I am not impressed. No status updates, had to email them myself last Monday, told me they would be here this week, still no sign and just poor way of updating people on their orders.
Have to wait to see the quality of the blinds, which is the main thing, but their ordering system and communication isn't a good start.

    Hi Ken,

I'm in the same situation, my windows open in too.

I think the blinds for our type windows are called INTU blinds where the blinds sit on the inner reveal of the glass section.

Prices so far back are crazy so I have not invested just yet. I will keep an eye on this post for replies...

    Hi ken
    Where are you based?

Firstly on your tilt and turn window, if you fit a blind with a chunky head rail or brackets, when you open the window inwards, you are at risk of damaging the plasterwork on the window reveal.

Secondly, in the god forbid event if a fire, the last thing you want is the blind to restrict the opening of the window and your escape.

    You have three alternatives.
You could mount the blind on the outside of the recess like where a curtain pole would be fixed. This would eliminate the above. Granted it doesn't look as good when fixed inside the reveal but it is more practical.

Secondly you could opt for what is called a perfect fit blind. These blinds comes in an enclosure and are slim fitted to the window with no drilling required.
There are available in roller and aluminium Venetian.

Thirdly you could ignore the risks above and just mount directly into the window frame!

As for a blind that opens bottom to top, I have not come across them but that's not to say that they are not available!

As for myblinds.ie, I will not even start! You are left waiting because even thought they are advertised as being made in Ireland, I can assure you they are not. False advertising annoys me so much

    Dave
