    Hi,
Could some one explain how the Dept. of Agriculture came up with the valueation (sp?) and number of entitlemnts per farm. Mine are just €28.00
others are multiples of that !
If I was to sell mine now should I expect to get more, or less, or the actual value ?

    Thanks. M.

they are historically based on what number of animals you had back in the reference years. you must have had next to no cattle or sheep back then to be on that low. not sure what they would sell at. last year they usually sold at 1.5 times their value or in other words 42.75 but theres no real point in me guessing whether people would be looking for that low of value.

I sold very low value entitlements last year, and they were sold for face value. I would imagine entitlements at 28euro, would be the same... (plus don't forget fees if you are selling, so that'll be a bit less off again)

I wouldn't sell low values entitlements if they were mine- they could be worth up to 250 a hectare when the new scheme Is announced
