Driving home from Dublin last night made it too 400 meters from the house and the power on the car cut out steering locked I tried to start it straight away which it did but there was no power steering. Car drove ok home the 400 meters. Got up this morning to check it so open up the bonnet for a look. 1st thing i notice is the belts which I thought ( could be timing belts ) are gone. I thought straight away car ****ed get a new 1. I rang the garage mechanic off till monday but the guy behind the counter said that he thinks its just the fan belts or belt. Im not so sure so any advice would be great.

Don't think it's the timing belt as it that snapped the engine wouldn't turn over. Could well be the fan or alternator belt but it's only a guess. You really need to bring the car to a mechanic.

From the pictures you added, that's definitely not the timing belt. You can see the alternator there.

Thats the serpentine belt that has snapped, the tensioner is also damaged as you can see its not sitting in line with the rest of the pulleys.
Its the shiny one with a line in the middle.
If you aren't confident replacing the belt yourself get a mechanic to do it.
The belt also runs the waterpump so I wouldn't drive it too far with no belt.

Is it a big fix guys parts wise mechanic is very good and wont charge a lot of money its just the parts that I am worried about. Should I have a tensioner read for the Mechanic monday or can he fix it ?

Belt and tensioner won't be very much money.
Tensioners can't be repaired and its best to fit a new one anyway.
