I have a sister who has had her Nokia in 4 times in the last 8 months with various faults, mostly to do with the speaker. The first time it was returned to her, they said no fault found, just don't turn down the sound. The next 3 times the found mechanical faults, including replacing the speaker in the phone, (see the first complaint) and each time the gave her a lend of a phone. How many times can they keep fixing it, before they have to replace it.

The rules say that repairs should be permanent. If the same fault happened after the repair she would be entitled to either a replacement or refund after the repair. The networks will try get a repair 3 times before doing anything else, but the fault cant be didn't issues.

Once if it's the same problem, but you have to take them to the small claims court if they wont replace it themselves.

If a company cannot fix a device after 3 attempts then legally they have to offer you a replacement.
