    Hi,

Would anyone on here be able to translate this?

    YOjEBH6.png

Taking a guess I believe I have it the right way up :)
Its from a sword, apparently circa WWII but I honestly have no idea, would be interested to know what the text above actually means.
    At a guess date/location?
But in my complete ignorance of Japanese it could be a shopping list too.

If anyone would like to take a shot I would love to know.

    Thanks

Its the sword makers name - 惠野谷 清一雄 - Not sure how to pronounce but possibly Enoya Seiyuu/Keiyuu? .. I'm really not sure. The first kanji, I don't know what it is, but it's similar to 恵. 一雄 on its own is Kazuo.. so maybe Seikazuo/Shikazuo?

Heres a sword by the same smith

    Looks great.

To add, not that it matters as its a name, but if you're interested in what those symbols mean individually..

    惠 - Kindness
    野 - Field
    谷 - Valley

    清 - Pure
    一 - One/sole
    雄 - Brave/hero
