Public Service Card Question

Can I use the Public Service Card as a valid form of photo I.D? My reason is that I'm currently waiting on a new bank card arriving, and in the mean time I can only take money out personally. I have to provide photo I.D and the only form of I.D I could think of is this card. Would it be okay?

I have a birth cert if I get desperate but I reckon that would be too much hassle and I have a copy of my bank account number as well.

    Thanks in advance.

That would be up to the bank. But it is a form of ID for Social Welfare. There would be some stringent checks carried out prior to the issue of the card and it has 2 biometrics, as in the photo and the signature.

I'm also wondering about the card. I wonder could I use it as one of the two forms of ID required to get an age card? Say a birth Certificate and a public services card?
